COVID-19: A TIME TO BAKE BREAD THAT NOURISHES AND HELPS THOSE IN NEED.
I never thought I’d need to create a page dedicated to helping the world bake in light of a pandemic. With the Sourdough School courses postponed my focus is on helping to support people that really need it right now and so that’s exactly what I’m going to do. The Club pages are a way to attend the school without leaving your kitchen, and yet be part of the community. I have now added a new way to join the club which is £99 sign-up fee to set you up and then just £9.99 per month but in light of the extremely challenging times ahead I feel it is only right to make this amazing resource as accessible as possible. I am going to give between 75% and 50% discount off the sign-up fee.
I am not here to just share bread recipes, knowledge and understanding, but share a sense of community. It’s more important now than ever, especially for people who are self -isolating or trying to nourish their family or people who are vulnerable. Our community is online, but the people we feed are our family and the people in our community. I will be focusing on ways to support the gut microbiome and immunity in practical and inexpensive ways.
APPLY FOR A DISCOUNT TO THE SOURDOUGH CLUB
The Sourdough Club is my online learning platform. All of my course content, research, recipes and more go onto this platform. I’ve filled it with video masterclasses and articles answering every question you could possibly have about sourdough. Beyond that, I’ve shared my passion and knowledge from studying my PhD in Bread and Digestion. There are many articles, research papers and formulae specifically focused on how sourdough and inclusions can help boost our immune system and support our gut health. Right now, this knowledge is more valuable than ever. We need to look after ourselves, our loved ones and those around us.
I wish I could share all of this knowledge with everyone for free right now, but as a small business in this very difficult time, I have to ensure I am at the very least covering overheads so that I can continue. Therefore, I’m offering between 50% and 75% off the sign-up fee for our monthly Sourdough Club Membership each month just for those that truly need it right now.
I have decided to extend the offer a limited number of discount codes available to May to 25 per category below* and those who are chosen are completely at my discretion. It’s not easy for me to be able to check if everyone genuinely fits the criteria, so I can only ask that you please only apply honestly. Please do not apply if you do not need this financially because you will be taking a voucher from someone who does, and we will be checking each individual application to make sure we are allocating the discounts fairly.
If I feel there is anything in your application that we’d like to discuss, one of us will give you a call.
*Subject to the number of applications, please note this may change.
To apply, please complete the below form. I am reviewing this on a weekly basis but plan to keep it open during UK lockdown. To avoid disappointment, please apply at the earliest opportunity. I will endeavour to get back to you within 5 working days as I’m also busy baking and helping to feed the most vulnerable in my local community.
The other category is discretionary and allows people to apply for their particular circumstances. So if you are financially impacted by the virus, or yu oare sharing your bread then please apply.
If you are well and have not been impacted by the pandemic the I’d still really love you to become a member. Find out how to sign up here.
Make sure to also sign up to our newsletter here. We occasionally run other offers and we share these with our newsletter subscribers first.
Please also note that the sourdough school also has a newsletter that goes out to our students who have attended the school. This is a totally separate newsletter often about nutrition & digestibility of bread and you can sign up free to this one too.
