Baking and Lifestyle Medicine Members Focus Page

This is our Focus page.

Thursdays at 8pm (London time) I will run the Club Clinic. This is a 45 minute session.

The lesson is split the session into two parts

  1. These are the suggestions, as featured below, and I will be suggesting the recipes for the weeks ahead in this section and keeping you focused
  2. Clinic sessions are open for submission to members who have been baking for 3 months or more. We look at when things go wrong and I am delighted. Why? Because it gives you the opportunity to learn something. Please note that sessions are recorded for students who are on different time zones to watch later in the week.

I will not be answering any questions about using the website. If you have a login issue refer to the customer services pages. This session is NOT for user problems and I will not answer them.  You may see me at 4pm on Thursdays if you are having user issues OR preferably refer to the customer services page.

If you are not finding the support you need then it is likely that you are not following the communication procedure.  Please see the procedures here.

If you have a small baking query, then put it on the Club Baking Forum and we will answer it there.

Please note that the Clinics follow an Oxbridge term timetable, and so do not run every week.

NOTE

If you are a beginner, then you really must understand that the Clinic subjects are not always for beginners. It can be overwhelming to find a session with a more advanced baker, and a discussion about the finer details of how to cultivate which bacteria to get a specific crumb structure, but please relax, enjoy the session and know that with time you will also be asking and understanding more complex issues.

It is for all Club members (over 2,000) and my members are at all levels. The Clinic is the opportunity to ask questions, and if you do not understand then you will just have to listen in and enjoy learning. You can ask questions at your own level about that week's topic ONLY, or simply come back when you have been baking for a few weeks.

If you are struggling with a particular bake you can submit your bake for analysis - please submit it in line with that week's topic.

Joining details to follow ready for first week of October.

Thank you,

Vanessa
