Queries about the new Sourdough Club forum

open crumb sourdoughJust to be clear…The Sourdough Club remains the same, it’s simply the forum that is moving location

The overwhelming majority of members have requested that we use Facebook to support them, so we have listened and will be making the change tomorrow evening (Wednesday 11th November 7pm GMT). We are really delighted to say that many members have already joined the Club forum and it is rocking and rolling with lots of sourdough activity.

Concern

After last night’s email a few people were concerned that the The Sourdough Club was moving to Facebook. To be clear it is ONLY the forum that is MOVING to a new home on Facebook. The Sourdough Club forum is a place for Club members ONLY to get support and share bakes, views and comments, and we feel that a better sense of community would be created through the use of a private Facebook page.

Paid members only

If you want to join the new forum (you need to be a paying member), just log in to your Club account and go to the menu setting. This is EXACTLY where the forum has always been. From here, you can access the private Facebook page, which you will need to request to join. This will require you to have a personal Facebook account. You can only see the link to the forum from the Club once you have logged in.

If you don’t so far engage on the forum, this will make no difference to your experience of using the Club. Everything else remains the same, although we think that you will get more out of being a Club member by joining the forum.

What if I am not on Facebook?

If you don’t have a Facebook account, you can either create one in order to use the new forum (you can use a pseudonym if you like), or you can continue to enjoy the Club as it is and ask your questions in the comments as usual or email [email protected]
