Gozney Roccbox Pizza Oven

When I first used this oven, I fell in love with it. A stylish, restaurant-grade oven that is small enough to be portable and easy to use, but reaches the high temperatures needed to bake great Neapolitan-style pizzas. The Roccbox pizza oven can be set up quickly and runs on either gas or wood. It’s easy to use and clean, and packs away nicely. Once up to temperature, you will be cooking pizzas in just 1–3 minutes.

There is something really lovely about making your own pizzas‚ choosing your own toppings and enjoying the family squabbles over who has created the tastiest combination! The Gozney Roccbox pizza oven incorporates all the quality and features of a restaurant-grade oven with the practicality of a portable, outdoor home pizza oven. It is highly insulated and has a thick stone floor, which allows it to reach and maintain temperatures of up to 500°C. The built-in thermometer is colour-coded and clear, so you can easily see when the oven is ready to bake. The consistent high temperatures mean you can bake authentic pizzas with those all-important crispy, chewy crusts in a matter of minutes… no compromise. And the clever design of the Roccbox pizza oven ensures that both the crust and your favourite toppings are perfectly baked.

The oven is practical and stylish. It comes in a choice of three colours: grey, red or green. Pick one to suit your outdoor colour scheme. Although it is primarily designed for baking pizzas to perfection, the Roccbox pizza oven can be used to cook a range of foods, including steaks, tarts, vegetables, focaccia and fish.

The oven comes with everything you need to get started (although the wood burner is an optional extra). It is easy to assemble in a short time, and the gas or wood burner simply locks into the underside of the oven. The manufacturer recommends that you sit the oven in a sheltered position to allow it to heat up quickly and maintain the high temperatures needed for baking. After use, the Roccbox pizza oven needs very little maintenance, as the interior effectively cleans itself. The only thing you need to do is ensure it is stored somewhere undercover and dry.

I appreciate that the oven is a considerable investment, but there are a number of reasons why I recommend it. The oven is sturdy and well-engineered, and with a little care you will be using it for many years, during which time it will more than pay for itself. When you think about it, the price of really good takeaway pizzas soon adds up. Plus, with this oven you get to enjoy homemade pizzas at their very best, bubbling and freshly baked. A home pizza oven can also change the way you socialise. This one is so easy to set up and use, Saturday night pizzas can become a regular feature. It really is something your whole household can enjoy together. In my opinion, this alone makes it well worth the investment.
