We have all been told that we need to eat wholegrain bread. But why is that important? Well one reason is, if you eat wholegrain bread then you eat Arabinoxylan (AX).
The wholegrain provides us with a healthy dose of fibre, and a key fibre in the wholegrain is AX. AX is a hemicellulose found in the cell walls of cereal grains and deserves particular attention as a prebiotic.
