Blend Number 14 – Satiety Blend

Diversity Score: 10

Satiety Blend - No 14
Satiety Blend – No 14

The objective for this Botanical Blend was to help control blood sugar levels and at the same time increase levels of fibre to help regulate appetite. Our goal was to moderate the assimilation of carbohydrate i.e the rate at which carbohydrates are taken up into the bloodstream, which of course has a marked impact on blood sugar levels, helping to regulate them. We also wanted to moderate the cortisol response and the impact that has on mood and the effect on the hormone ghrelin and appetite as a result.

We have included ingredients known to increase levels of bifidobacterium and also those high in levels of polyphenols.

At the school, we use Mockmill grain mills to mill our blends fresh.  We use the Mockmill Pro 200 at the school for faster milling, however Mockmills most affordable model the Mockmill 100 is also ideal. You can read all about Mockmill and how to mill your own flour
