This Bake for health scholarship & bursary application is now open and for bakers to apply for a scholarship or bursary for our Bake for Health Certificate. The options are:
- 100% Scholarships for 18 – 26 year old trainee bakers
- 50% Bursaries for individuals who intend to use the knowledge from our courses to directly make a difference in their community, whether through their practice or a registered charity, as part of a community group, or as an individual.
The awards are part of our Our Systems Change Programme and a belief in making knowledge more accessible and sharing a way to bake to improve health.
Before you apply please request and read our prospectus. This is a detailed document with the syllabus and examples of the schedule. The course is currently in the process being reaccredited by the RCGP (we expect to confirm this in Summer 2022).

Successful candidates will demonstrate a clear understanding of the needs of their community and how they will apply the knowledge from the Certificate . We are looking for passionate bakers who are interested in baking for health and wellness, and in sharing their knowledge.
The Sourdough School Bake for Health Certificate is an online course and our live sessions are on Thursday evenings between 7pm-8pm. Sessions are recorded and kept for catch-up for 21 days after the session.
